This mechanic character was created for use in a real-time application and was created to be a modernised interpretation of Don Quixote for an action RPG game based on Cervantes' Don Quixote. The character was created using 3DS max, Photoshop and Zbrush.

I thought it was worth posting about this chap Adam Beane who sculpts very realistic models of people and characters using a wax type material. I've seen a few people on deviant art and other websites using such a material and I'm always interested to learn more about the techniques they use to try and create a faithful representation of subject.
